Chief Officer - Maritime Leadership Opportunity

Private Advertiser is currently recruiting for a dynamic and experienced Chief Officer to join our expanding maritime operations in Indonesia. This role is essential for maintaining the highest levels of safety and efficiency aboard our vessel. As the second-in-command, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our maritime activities, working closely with the Master to oversee all deck operations and crew management.

With a strong background in maritime leadership and a proven track record in managing maritime operations, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the vessel, including crew supervision, navigation, and cargo handling. 📋 Tanggung Jawab Pekerjaan

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all deck operations and ensure adherence to safety protocols and maritime regulations.
• Manage and supervise the crew, including assigning tasks, conducting performance reviews, and resolving conflicts.
• Ensure the vessel is properly navigated and maintained, including monitoring fuel consumption, engine performance, and hull integrity.
• Coordinate with shore-based teams and external stakeholders to manage cargo loading, unloading, and logistics.
• Conduct regular safety drills and inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
• Handle emergency situations and ensure swift and effective response in accordance with maritime safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of all vessel operations, including maintenance logs, crew schedules, and incident reports.
• Represent the company in negotiations and interactions with port authorities, maritime authorities, and other stakeholders.

🎓 Kualifikasi & Syarat

Kualifikasi & Syarat:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chief Officer or similar role in the maritime industry.
• Valid Master Mariner's License (MML) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in managing maritime operations and supervising crews.
• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, safety protocols, and navigation practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Familiarity with maritime software and tools such as ECDIS, VTS, and cargo management systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding maritime environment, including on-call and overnight shifts.
